+ARCHITECT MASS STUDIESMass Studies was founded in 2003 by Cho Minusk in Seoul, Korea, as a critical investigation office for architecture in the context of mass production, intensely over-populated urban conditions, and other emergent cultural niches that define contemporary society. For each of the 14 wide-ranging projects presented here, Mass Studies explores issues such as spatial systems/matrixes, building materials/techniques and typological divergences. Realised buildings featured include: the ‘Chipped House’, Ann Demeulemeester Shop, Seoul, and the Oktokki Space Center. A number of unrealised case studies are also included. |
